The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) was awarded a cooperative agreement from the USDA for the Florida Local Food Purchase Assistance Program (LFPA).
The purpose of the award is to maintain and improve Florida’s food and agricultural supply chain resiliency. The goal of this grant is to build sustainable market opportunities for State producers, with an emphasis on supporting socially disadvantaged producers (i.e., farmers or ranchers who are a member of a socially disadvantaged group), to increase the amount of product distributed to underserved populations in the state.
