The primary objective of the Florida’s Future Forests Program is to promote tree planting and site preparation practices to ensure the long-term viability of Florida’s forest lands and their associated ecological and economic value. To achieve this goal, qualified applicants can receive cost share reimbursement payments for conducting certain approved forest management practices that establish new forest stands and increase the state’s forested acreage. The program will seek to provide intangible social, cultural, civic, and workforce benefits generated by forests and forest industry.
